Detailed Itinerary 9 days motorcycle tour Agadir to the Chegaga desert

Day 1 – Arrival in Agadir

Upon arrival at Agadir airport, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. Take the evening to relax or stroll along Agadir’s promenade. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 – Agadir → Taroudant → Foum Zguid

After breakfast, receive your motorcycle and a briefing from your guide on riding in Morocco. Depart toward Taroudant, a charming walled city known as “Little Marrakech.” Stop for lunch and continue through Taliouine, a village famous for saffron, and Taznakht, a traditional Berber carpet village, before arriving at Foum Zguid, the gateway to the desert. Overnight at a hotel in Foum Zguid.

Day 3 – Foum Zguid → Iriki Lake → Chegaga Dunes

Begin your desert adventure after breakfast. Ride across the dry lake of Iriki and continue through the desert landscape to reach Erg Chegaga. Enjoy thrilling off-road riding and witness the spectacular Sahara sunset. Dinner and overnight at a bivouac in the Chegaga dunes under the stars.

Day 4 – Chegaga → M’hamid → Zagora

After a nomadic breakfast, explore the Chegaga dunes by motorcycle and ride toward the Saharan village of M’hamid. Visit the village and continue along a desert road to Zagora. Experience the unique desert atmosphere and overnight at a desert bivouac.

Day 5 – Zagora → Draa Valley → Ouarzazate

Ride through the lush Draa Valley with its impressive palm groves and kasbahs. Visit the historic Tamnougalt Kasbah in Agdz before continuing toward Ouarzazate, the gateway to the Sahara and home to famous film studios. Overnight at a hotel in Ouarzazate.

Day 6 – Ouarzazate → Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou → High Atlas → Marrakech

Depart Ouarzazate for Marrakech, stopping at the iconic Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue your ride across the High Atlas Mountains, passing Tizi n’Tichka at 2,260 meters. Arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon and check into your riad in the medina. Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 7 – Marrakech → Essaouira

Ride from Marrakech to the coastal city of Essaouira. Stop along the way at an argan oil cooperative to see the traditional extraction process and watch goats climb the argan trees. Upon arrival, explore Essaouira’s medina, historic port, and vibrant atmosphere. Overnight in a riad.

Day 8 – Essaouira → Agadir
