Detailed Itinerary 13 days from Agadir to the desert by motorbike
Day 1 – Arrival in Agadir
Arrival at Agadir airport and transfer to your hotel. Relax and enjoy your first evening in Agadir. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 – Agadir → Taroudant → Foum Zguid
Receive your motorcycle and riding instructions. Depart for Taroudant, “Little Marrakech,” for lunch and sightseeing. Continue through Taliouine and Taznakht to reach Foum Zguid, the gateway to the Sahara. Overnight at a hotel.
Day 3 – Foum Zguid → Iriki Lake → Chegaga Dunes
Ride across the dry lake of Iriki and traverse desert tracks toward Erg Chegaga. Enjoy thrilling off-road riding and witness the Sahara sunset. Dinner and overnight in a bivouac among the dunes.
Day 4 – Chegaga → M’hamid → Zagora
Explore Chegaga dunes after a nomadic breakfast. Ride to M’hamid village, then continue to Zagora via desert roads. Overnight at a desert bivouac.
Day 5 – Zagora → Taghbalt → Tafraout Sidi Ali
Ride across the Hamada black rock plateau, encounter nomadic shepherds, and follow ancient caravan routes crossing the Paris-Dakar Rally track. Overnight in Tafraout Sidi Ali desert village.
Day 6 – Tafraout Sidi Ali → Ramlia → Ouzina → Taouz → Khamlia → Merzouga
Explore the Ramlia dunes and Ouzina rally tracks. Visit Taouz rock carvings and enjoy Gnaoua music in Khamlia village with a Berber pizza lunch. Arrive in Merzouga for overnight at a hotel.
Day 7 – Merzouga Erg Chebbi Dunes
Spend a full day exploring Erg Chebbi dunes on your motorbike. Alternatively, take a camel ride across the dunes. Admire the sunset, enjoy a campfire dinner, and overnight in a desert camp.
Day 8 – Merzouga → Erfoud → Todra Gorges → Boumalne Dades
After breakfast, optional camel ride or motorbike ride back to Merzouga. Continue to Erfoud for fossil exploration, then ride to Todra palm grove and Todra Gorges. Lunch among the cliffs, then continue to Boumalne Dades. Overnight at a hotel.
Day 9 – Dades Gorges → Kelaa Mgouna → Skoura Oasis → Ouarzazate
Follow the Dades Valley to Kelaa Mgouna and explore rose products. Continue to Skoura Oasis and visit Kasbah Amridil. Ride onward to Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight at a hotel.
Day 10 – Ouarzazate → High Atlas → Marrakech
Cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka (2,260 m) and arrive in Marrakech. Overnight in a riad in the medina.
Day 11 – Marrakech → Essaouira
Ride to Essaouira along the Atlantic coast. Stop at an argan oil cooperative and admire goats climbing argan trees. Explore Essaouira medina and port. Overnight in a riad.
Day 12 – Essaouira → Agadir
