Daily Itinerary 10 days Tangier motorcycle tour
Day 1: Tangier
Upon arrival in Tangier, we will meet you at the airport or port and transfer you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you will have the opportunity to explore the lively medina, the Kasbah, and the coastal promenade. This first day allows you to relax after your journey and get a first taste of Morocco’s unique atmosphere. Overnight at the hotel in Tangier.
Day 2: Tangier – Chefchaouen – Fez
After breakfast, you will collect your motorcycles and begin your adventure. The ride takes you through the beautiful Rif Mountains towards the blue city of Chefchaouen, where you will have time to walk through its charming blue-painted streets. You will then continue towards the Roman ruins of Volubilis and visit the imperial city of Meknes before riding on to Fez. Arrival in the late afternoon and overnight in a traditional riad in the old medina of Fez.
Day 3: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)
After breakfast, you leave Fez and ride south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. You will pass through Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and the cedar forests of Azrou, where you can encounter the famous Barbary monkeys. After lunch in Midelt, you continue through spectacular mountain scenery and descend into the Ziz Valley, with its endless palm groves and fortified villages. You will arrive in Erfoud to discover fossil workshops, then continue to Merzouga, where the dunes of Erg Chebbi rise before you. Dinner and overnight in a hotel near the dunes.
Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges
In the morning, you will enjoy a short ride around the dunes of Erg Chebbi before continuing towards Rissani, the ancient trading center of the desert. The route then takes you through the remote landscapes of Alnif and across rocky desert plateaus to the spectacular Todra Gorges, a dramatic canyon with towering limestone walls. After lunch, you ride through Tinghir and the beautiful Dades Valley, stopping at panoramic viewpoints before reaching the Dades Gorges. Dinner and overnight in a hotel in the Dades Valley.
Day 5: Dades Gorges – Valley of Roses – Ouarzazate – Aït Ben Haddou
After breakfast, you follow the road through the Valley of Roses to Kelaa M’Gouna, famous for its fragrant rose products. You will then continue to the Skoura oasis to visit the Kasbah of Amridil, one of the best-preserved kasbahs in the region. Riding through Ouarzazate, you will stop to visit the Taourirt Kasbah and, if time permits, the film studios. At the end of the day, you arrive at the fortified village of Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you will spend the night in a local hotel with dinner.
Day 6: Aït Ben Haddou – Telouet – High Atlas – Marrakech
After breakfast, a local guide will take you on a walking tour of Aït Ben Haddou. You then continue your motorcycle adventure towards Marrakech, stopping in Telouet to visit the historic Glaoui Kasbah. You will cross the High Atlas Mountains via the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass, enjoying breathtaking panoramic views along the way. Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon and overnight in a riad in the medina.
Day 7: Marrakech – Essaouira
After breakfast, you leave Marrakech and ride west towards the Atlantic coast. Along the way, you stop at a women’s argan oil cooperative to learn about the traditional production process. Continuing to Essaouira, you will explore the charming medina, the historic ramparts, and the lively fishing port of Skala. Overnight in a riad in Essaouira.
Day 8: Essaouira – Safi – El Jadida – Casablanca – Rabat
Today’s ride follows the Atlantic coastline. You will visit the pottery town of Safi and the Portuguese-influenced city of El Jadida. Passing through Casablanca, you will stop for photos at the impressive Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world. You then continue north to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, where you will spend the night in a hotel.
Day 9: Rabat – Asilah – Tangier
After breakfast, you ride north along the coast towards Tangier. On the way, you stop in the beautiful seaside town of Asilah, known for its whitewashed medina and artistic murals. Continue to Tangier, where you return your motorcycles. Overnight in a hotel in Tangier.
Day 10: Departure – Tangier Airport
After breakfast, we will transfer you to Tangier airport or port according to your departure schedule, marking the end of your unforgettable Moroccan motorcycle adventure.
