Departing from Ouarzazate, you head east toward Skoura, crossing the famous palm grove and its iconic kasbahs. After a quick stop to admire the Kasbah of Amridil, you continue on the magnificent “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs,” where every turn reveals new panoramas. Here, the pleasure of motorcycling blends with the raw beauty of southern Morocco, between oases, Berber villages, and semi-desert landscapes.
Arriving in Boumalne Dadès, the mountains begin to close in around you, heralding the entrance to the famous Dadès Gorges. You then tackle a legendary road, with its spectacular switchbacks (the famous hairpin “serpentines”), a delight for motorcyclists. You climb to the heart of the gorges, where immense red rock walls surround you. Lunch in a typical restaurant surrounded by nature to savor a tagine facing the cliffs.
After a moment of relaxation and some beautiful photos at the summit, you’ll gently descend towards Ouarzazate. The return journey follows the same route, but with magical afternoon light transforming the landscapes. A day punctuated by driving, cultural discoveries, and breathtaking scenery, perfect for lovers of the road and adventure.
