9 days Motorcycle Tour Marrakech desert Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Marrakech
Arrival at Marrakech Airport and welcome by your guide. Transfer to your hotel and check-in. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a guided or self-guided walk through the colorful Medina and the lively Jemaa el-Fna Square. Overnight in Marrakech.
Day 2 – Marrakech → Ouarzazate (200 km)
After breakfast, pick up your motorcycles and begin your adventure by crossing the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m) in the High Atlas Mountains. Stop for photos and lunch along the way. Descend towards Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert.” Dinner and overnight in a riad near Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou.
Day 3 – Ouarzazate → Agdz → Zagora (220 km)
Ride through the Anti-Atlas Mountains and enjoy panoramic desert landscapes. Optional ride to the waterfalls before reaching Agdz for lunch. Continue along the scenic Draa Valley, lined with palm groves and traditional ksars, until you reach Zagora. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 4 – Zagora → M’Hamid → Chegaga Desert (150 km)
Ride towards M’Hamid, the last village before the great Sahara. From here, transfer by 4×4 to the remote Chegaga Dunes. Enjoy a camel ride at sunset and a traditional Moroccan dinner. Overnight in a Berber desert camp under the stars.
Day 5 – Chegaga Dunes → Foum Zguid (250 km)
After breakfast in the desert, transfer back to M’Hamid and continue by motorcycle towards Foum Zguid. Enjoy stunning views of the Djebel Saghro and remote desert tracks. Arrival at your hotel around midday, with free time to relax.
Day 6 – Foum Zguid → Tata → Tafraoute (350 km)
Cross vast desert landscapes towards Tata before entering the Anti-Atlas Mountains. The scenery gradually changes from arid plains to dramatic rock formations. Arrive in Tafraoute, famous for its pink granite rocks and traditional Berber culture. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 7 – Tafraoute → Agadir → Imouzzer Ida-Outanan (220 km)
After breakfast, ride towards Agadir on the Atlantic coast. Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch at the fishing port. Continue to the beautiful Paradise Valley with its deep gorges and natural pools, then reach Imouzzer Ida-Outanan for overnight.
Day 8 – Imouzzer Ida-Outanan → Essaouira (170 km)
Ride along scenic coastal and mountain roads towards Essaouira. Arrive in the early afternoon and check into your riad. Free time to explore the charming medina, Skala ramparts, beach, and fishing harbor. Overnight in Essaouira.
Day 9 – Essaouira → Marrakech (184 km)
After breakfast, ride back to Marrakech. Along the way, visit a women’s argan oil cooperative to learn about the traditional production process. Arrival in Marrakech, hotel check-in, and end of the motorcycle adventure.
